A WordPress customization for a dance and cultural group. After long years with a clunky asp site, Vela Luka Dance Ensemble needed a makeover that would highlight not only its long standing traditions within the Croatian-American community, but emphasize the drama and entertainment aspects of their performances. And the content manager needed an easy way to update events and occasionally post news items, WordPress to the rescue!

A WordPress customization. I brought a somewhat fussy template down to a super clean, bold design; designed the logo, coached the owner in high relevancy content and keywords, and trained him how to use WordPress to update his site. The results are that MPT is booked solid!

The University of Washington Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics needed to bring their website into alignment with current College of Engineering branding, update all content and media, and find content management solutions.  I customized the College templates to accommodate the high volume of content and visual imagery  the department wanted, created an easily navigable architecture, and worked closely with content providers to create compelling content for the new site.  The department hosts over 17 research labs for which I created new templates, pages and logos, organized and edited their new content and created visual aids.  I created a number of database-driven pages that can be easily updated by staff through web forms, and trained a dedicated content manager to use Dreamweaver on an advanced level.

SABA’s owner wanted to convey a feeling of warmth, energy and healing and incorporate symbols or images of  water, earth, air and plant life.  Additionally,  users should be able to easily find a massage therapist who both fits their needs and matched their insurance.   Coldfusion pages pull insurance and therapist information from a mySQL database.

Purplelicious paper dolls with games, animations and shopping!

The client wanted to have a showcase for her multicultural paper dolls and paper doll clothing designs, and I was itching to do an entire Flash site (not necessarily something I’d recommend today!).  Project included logo design, website conception, design and development. Interactive elements include quizzes, a dress up game, doll customization application, animations, a searchable clothing database and a shopping cart hooked into Paypal.  See the site at www.galaxygirls.net
